If you are visiting this page, it means that you have been contacted by one of our club members about becoming involved with our Oral Health Society Club at UC Davis.
The goal of this page is to answer many of the questions that you as a sponsor may have about our club. Our goal is to work with all of you and continue to provide children with the valuable opportunity to learn more about their teeth and nutrition.
What We Do:
Our club presenters go to elementary school classrooms (K-6th grade) in pairs of two and give 15-20 minute presentations on topics that cover:

What the different types of teeth are and their specialized function in regards to eating

The different components of the human mouth

How to brush, floss and maintain superior oral health

Why we brush, floss and visit the dentist regularly

Why it is important to have a healthy diet

How to build a dietarily balanced meal

How to make conscious food decisions when at restaurants

What to do in case of dental emergencies
Why Become Involved:
This club is a unique opportunity to make an impact on the children you interact with daily. We provide lessons for the students that are typically not taught in typical day to day curriculum. The impact we hope to have on the children is one that will be lasting for the children as the age. To accomplish this task our lessons are not only verbally taught but also include visual demostrations, kinesthetic experiments and guided drawings to ensure maximum retention by all of the students who hear us speak. We offer an experience for your students that is unparalleled by other student organizations and we look forward to working with you!
